Brooke's Favorite Travel Essentials From Mexico 🌴

When it comes to packing for a family trip, less is more in my mind...it's probably because of 5.5 years of living in an RV. On our recent trip to Mexico, I had a few MVPs in my bag that made the whole experience smoother, more fun, and way less stressful. Whether you're planning a beach getaway or just looking for inspiration for your next family adventure, here are my must-have travel essentials that I’ll never leave home without again!

Isla and Kai Travel Bag

Anyone else have major love for a good, spacious bag? Enter the Isla and Kai travel bag—my trusty sidekick on this trip. This bag fits everything that you need to head to the pool, use as a carry on, or pack into your luggage and unfold once you get to your destination. It kept me organized as we navigated our day to day adventures in Mexico.

The big bag folds up into the little bag and the little bag snaps into the big bag like a accessories bag.

Waterproof Deck of Cards

If there’s one unexpected hero of our trip, it’s hands-down the waterproof deck of cards. This travel-friendly deck became our family’s favorite entertainment, keeping spirits high during downtime and helping us wind down at the end of the day. The waterproof feature? Pure genius. Spills, splashes, or sandy hands didn’t stand a chance, and they’ll definitely be coming with us on every future adventure.

Harmony Wellness Solid Bar Lotion

Raise your hand if your skin gets wrecked after just one day in the sun, or a long day of travel!🙋‍♀️ That’s why I brought along the Harmony Wellness travel-friendly solid bar lotion. It turned out to be a total game-changer.

After a long day swimming and exploring, this bar left us feeling so hydrated and refreshed—without any greasy mess because it doesn't use wax! I loved how easy it was to toss in our toiletries bag (no worrying about it spilling or breaking TSA restrictions). Bonus points for the dreamy Hawaiian scent and the fact that it’s eco-friendly, too. It’s the little luxuries like this that make travel feel just a smidge more comfortable.

Kids' Speedo Swimming Goggles

Now, these were an absolute must-pack. If you’ve got little swimmers like I do, you get it—the goggles make or break pool and beach time. The kids’ Speedo swimming goggles are 4 years old and have never broke! The kiddos up love these because they fit snugly (no complaints about water getting in their eyes!) and didn’t leave those annoying marks on their faces after wearing them.

Our days were filled with cannonballs, underwater treasure hunts, and endless splashing, all made better by these trusty goggles.  If you’re heading to the water, don’t skimp on good goggles. These are worth it!

Why These Essentials Stood Out

Every item on this list earned its spot because it added something special to our trip. The Isla and Kai bag kept us organized from start to finish, the waterproof cards brought joy and connection, the solid lotion bar kept our sun-kissed skin happy, and the goggles? They gave the kiddos hours of vacation fun.

Next time you’re packing for an adventure—whether it’s a weekend getaway or a family escape to a tropical paradise—consider picking up one (or all!) of these favorites. They made Mexico a breeze for us, and I’d bet they’ll do the same for you. 🌺
